NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament

Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer & Two-Time NCAA Basketball Champion to Assume Expanded College Basketball Position with TNT Sports

Hill to Continue as Game Analyst for TNT Sports and CBS Sports’ Combined Coverage of NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship

TNT Sports has reached a long-term extension with Grant Hill, a Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer and two-time NCAA Basketball Champion. Hill will continue to be a lead game analyst on TNT Sports and CBS Sports’ collective coverage of the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship. He will also expand the scope of his contributions to TNT Sports, including its coverage of BIG EAST and Big 12 basketball, with both set to begin during the 2025-26 season.

Hill, a Duke legend who was involved in one of the most defining moments in NCAA Tournament history, joined TNT Sports in 2013. He will be calling the upcoming NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship on Monday, April 7, marking his 10th time providing game analysis for the event.

“College basketball has had such a profound impact on my life, as a student athlete and now as a broadcaster, and I thoroughly enjoy being closely connected to the collegiate game, the student athletes who compete, and their amazing stories,” said Hill. “I’m thankful to TNT Sports for the opportunity to continue this journey together and look forward to what promises to be a fantastic Final Four weekend, among many more to come.”

“A Hall of Famer in every sense, Grant has had a profound influence on the game at every level,” said Nate Smeltz, Senior Vice President, Talent Relations & Global Communications, TNT Sports. “Grant has been a member of the TNT Sports family from the moment he decided to enter broadcasting, and we look forward to many more years together.”

Hill was a two-time NCAA basketball champion and four-year starter at Duke University. In addition to being a member of the 2014 College Basketball Hall of Fame class, he was inducted into the Duke Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2016 for his contributions to the program and was named the 2017 recipient of the NCAA President's Gerald R. Ford Award, recognizing his significant leadership as an advocate for college sports.

Hill was a seven-time NBA All-Star and 19-year veteran with the Detroit Pistons, Orlando Magic, Phoenix Suns and LA Clippers. He was NBA Co-Rookie of the Year in 1995 after being selected in the first round of the NBA Draft in 1994.

Hill was a member of the Gold Medal-winning Olympic men’s basketball team in 1996, and he has served as managing director of the USA Basketball Men’s National Team since 2021.

Hill became a part owner of the Atlanta Hawks in 2015 and serves as the franchise’s Vice Chair of the Board. He is also a part owner of the Baltimore Orioles, Orlando Pride and Orlando City SC.
