TNT Sports Announces Commentators for 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs Presented by GEICO, Second Round through Monday, May 12

NHL on TNT Face Off presented by Verizon Pregame Coverage to Start Friday, May 9 at 6:30 p.m. ET on TNT, truTV & Max, followed by Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Florida Panthers, Game 3 at 7 p.m., & Dallas Stars at Winnipeg Jets, Game 2 at 9:30 p.m. 

Former Vancouver Canucks Head Coach Rick Tocchet to Join Studio Show as Guest Analyst on Friday May 9 & Saturday, May 10 

Three-Time Stanley Cup Champion Pat Maroon to Join Studio Show as Guest Analyst on Monday, May 12 

TNT Sports’ 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs coverage will continue with up to 14 Second Round games beginning with a doubleheader on Friday, May 9. The action starts with Game 3 of the Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Florida Panthers series at 7 p.m. ET on TNT, truTV and Max. John Forslund will call the action with commentary from Eddie Olczyk and Shane Hnidy. 

Following Maple Leafs/Panthers will be Game 2 of the Dallas Stars vs. Winnipeg Jets at 9:30 p.m., also on TNT, truTV and Max. Brendan Burke will be on the call, with commentary from Darren Pang and Ashali Vise. 

TNT, truTV and Max will also host a doubleheader on Saturday, May 10, featuring Game 3 of the Washington Capitals traveling to take on the Carolina Hurricanes at 6 p.m., followed by Game 3 of the Vegas Golden Knights at Edmonton Oilers. Alex Faust, Brian Boucher and Jody Shelley will call Capitals/Hurricanes; Burke, Pang and Kathryn Tappen will provide commentary for Golden Knights/Oilers.  

The 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs will culminate with TNT’s presentation of the 2025 Stanley Cup Final, presented by GEICO. Coverage throughout the playoffs will include expansive digital content and highlights from Bleacher Report, House of Highlights and B/R Open Ice all postseason long, featuring celebrity rink side correspondents, Q&As with the biggest stars on the ice and more. 

Live game coverage throughout the postseason will be preceded by a 30-minute NHL on TNT Face Off Presented by Verizon pregame hosted by Liam McHugh, alongside a rotating collection of esteemed analysts including Vezina Trophy winner and 2023 Hockey Hall of Famer Henrik Lundqvist, 11-season NHL veteran Anson Carter, Calder Cup Champion Paul Bissonnette. Former Vancouver Canucks head coach Rick Tocchet will join pre and postgame coverage on Friday, May 9 and Saturday, May 10. In addition, three-time Stanley Cup Champion Pat Maroon will join the studio show as a guest analyst on Monday, May 12.    

The studio team will also provide analysis and insights between periods during the Lexus First Intermission Report and the Discover Second Intermission Report, and the NHL on TNT Post Game Show presented by Vanda Pharmaceuticals.
