TNT Sports, in collaboration with Fresh Tape Media, will present A Clean Sheet: Gabe Landeskog, an intimate five-part documentary series airing in consecutive weeks, providing viewers with unprecedented access to an NHL star and team captain pushing his mind and body to recover from a career-threatening injury.
Episode 1, titled “Half of it is Mental,” will debut at 12 p.m. ET on Sunday, March 9 on TNT and truTV, ahead of NHL on TNT’s doubleheader. The 30-minute episode introduces Landeskog and his family at the start of his multi-year journey to return to the ice, grappling with the euphoria of leading the Colorado Avalanche to a Stanley Cup victory in 2022 immediately followed by the anxiety and identity loss due to a knee injury that has kept him away from competition since then.
“An osteoallochrondrograft with a tibial tuberostomy -- not a lot of people are going through necessarily the exact same surgery and the rehab. But anybody that’s going through something, you can relate to other people going through a tough time. Whatever it might be, emotionally, physically, whatever it might be, I just want people to know that they’re not alone,” said Landeskog.
A Clean Sheet: Gabe Landeskog was produced by Fresh Tape Media, with AJ Oscarson as director; Gabe Landeskog and Jared Kleinstein as executive producers; Gabby Akinsanya, David Herman, Avalon Koenig, Alana Moritz, AJ Oscarson, and Brad Ross as producers; and Colorado music icon Nathaniel Rateliff for the soundtrack.
Each episode will be available to stream on demand on Max approximately one week after air date.
